Great Adventure Beginnings
Prior to being at Six Flags Over Texas, Rodeo was located at Six Flags Great Adventure. The ride was installed at Great Adventure in 1999 as a part of their "War on Lines" initiative. In 2005, Six Flags Great Adventure announced a brand new wooden roller coaster, El Toro, for the 2006 season. In order to make room for the new coaster, Great Adventure removed the Rodeo attraction.
Rodeo made its debut in 2006 as part of a massive ten-attraction package for the park’s 45th anniversary. Perhaps one of the more intense rides of the package, other additions included ACME Rock-n-Rocket, Crazy Legs, Caddo Lake Barge, Sidewinder and more.
Rodeo opened during the park’s 2006 season for its 45th anniversary celebration.
Rodeo is made up of 16 “bull” ride cars, each seating two riders.
Rodeo features an indoor queue line.
