La Fiesta de las Tazas’ entrance and queue has existed since 1961.

A Historical Entrance

The entrance and queue line of La Fiesta de las Tazas has been used by two other attractions at Six Flags Over Texas. From 1961 to 1978, the Ferrocarril Fiesta Train called Six Flags Over Texas home and used the same entrance and queue building as La Fiesta de las Tazas. Series Four of our Then & Now Series highlights the comparison. After the Fiesta Train was removed, El Sombrero took over the location from 1979 to 2005. In 2006, Six Flags celebrated its 45th anniversary with a major ten-attraction expansion. In order to make way for La Fiesta de las Tazas, El Sombrero was relocated next to Casa de Las Banderas.

La Fiesta de las Tazas is a classic teacups attraction.

Riders are able to control the spinning speed of their own teacup.
