Quiet Ride, Quick Removal
El Diablo was much quieter than many other related Larson Loop attractions because the attraction featured an upgraded drive system. Irvine Ondrey, a company who has worked on many RMC attractions, including Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster at Fiesta Texas, supplied El Diablo’s control system.
El Diablo’s life at Six Flags Over Texas was short-lived, only lasting from 2019 to 2024. El Diablo, much like the defunct Harley Quinn Spinsanity, was one of many budget-friendlier attractions added to the Six Flags chain that didn’t resonate with most park guests and had a short operating life.
El Diablo stood 100 feet tall, making it the tallest ride of its kind.
El Diablo was introduced for the park’s 2019 season.

The Tallest, A Change in Plans
El Diablo was the tallest ride of its kind, standing 100 feet tall. El Diablo, however, shared this record-breaking stat with Mardi Gras Hangover at Six Flags Great America. Great America’s Mardi Gras Hangover opened during their 2018 season.
El Diablo was originally supposed to be named Lone Star Revolution when announced in 2018. However, in January 2019, the park announced that the ride would be renamed El Diablo and call the park’s Spain section home. The original announcement suggested that the attraction would be installed in the Tower section prior to the change in plans.
El Diablo featured an outdoor, covered queue line.
El Diablo sent riders upside down six times per cycle.

In January, Six Flags announces that Lone Star Revolution will now be constructed in the park’s Spain section as El Diablo.
Construction Updates
Demolition of La Vibora, the park’s former bobsled coaster, continues as nearly all track pieces have been removed. Most of what stands are support columns. El Diablo’s queue line has also begun to come down. Titan’s big paint job transformation is under way as track and support segments receive new coats.
