Nod to Spinnaker

Catwoman Whip, a Zamperla Endeavour attraction, is similar to a former ride that once called Six Flags Over Texas home. Spinnaker, a Schwarzkopf Enterprise, was located in the park’s Tower section between 1977 and 1995. Though Catwoman Whip operates within the same concept, the primary difference is the way riders are seated. On Spinnaker, riders would be enclosed in a pod-like structure with no restraints. Catwoman Whip, however, seats riders next to each other with over-the-shoulder restraints, providing a modernized way to enjoy the attraction.

Catwoman Whip opened at Six Flags Over Texas in 2016.

Past Attractions

In 2016, Catwoman Whip took over the spot of an old Six Flags Over Texas classic. From 1973 to 2007, Bumper Cars resided in this location and was added with the addition of the Good Time Square park area. The Bumper Cars attraction was SBNO, standing but not operating, between 2008 to 2015. In 2016, the former Bumper Cars building was demolished and Catwoman Whip was added in its place as part of the new Gotham City expansion. Bumper Cars were located in the green building pictured above.

Catwoman Whip is located in the park’s Gotham City section.
